Let’s talk about Big industry pet food

I want to present some facts that may shed light on the issue of dog food production. It’s important to note that large-scale dog food production, regardless of its marketing claims, involves ingredients derived from agriculture, including high-yield fields and ranches. This includes both animal and plant-based products.

The mass production of ingredients by the big industry involves the use of chemicals. Just like humans, animals can experience adverse effects from chemicals, which can lead to deteriorating health conditions, chronic allergies, sensitivities, and wear and tear on vital organs and neurological functions.

It’s worth mentioning that major pharmaceutical companies, such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Eli Lilly, play a significant role in the dog food industry. These companies primarily focus on enhancing and accelerating the meat industry and providing pesticides and herbicides to produce high-yielding, high-production grains. These grains are not only added to crops as fillers but also serve as the main ingredient in dog foods and pet products in general.

Cost production is a primary concern, and high-yield farms created with these additives meet this criterion. However, organic farming has made significant progress and was once the foundation of most farming practices. Unfortunately, organic farming has been put out of business and subsidized to prevent it from producing wholesome goods.

In challenging economic times and under immense pressure from these large companies, farmers have succumbed to the pressure to prioritize profit over the well-being of their families and the environment. The promotion of these products is evident in all major pet stores, from local shops to veterinary clinics, where they are often incentivized to be recommended. Going back to farmer habits, they typically opt for the cheapest, high-bulk bags of generic dog foods. However, the ingredients in these foods are frankly frightening. I encourage consumers who want the best for their pets’ health and want to eliminate their reliance on medical intervention, pharmaceutical remedies, and overall comfort and joy for their beloved family members’ lifetime. Extended lifetimes are a myth; the only legitimacy is that your pet will live a less medically burdened life when you reduce or even better eliminate their ingestion and exposure to chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Please don’t believe that there are no proven solutions to prevent many vaccination necessities, such as parvovirus, rabies, and other things due to exposure to the environment. I’m not encouraging people to avoid the advantage of these one-time vaccination protections. However, there are many solutions for exposure to diseases like organic tick, flea, spider, and mosquito attacks. Staying on a regular, semi-regular heartworm and pest deterrent is still your best course of action.

But start reducing their ingestion, whether by skin or consumption, and replace it with healthy organic options. Did you know that most “allergies” to chicken meat, grains, are due to their base creation, which again comes from the production involving herbicides, pesticides, and GMOs designed to chemically create plants that are resistant to naturally occurring pests and weeds?

There are natural farming practices. Google get involved, get educated, and get on the right track. My recommendation is always to try a six-month routine of strictly organic and see the results for yourself. It’s that simple. The proof is in the product.
